Every company has its own distinctive culture and personality. As companies grow, this often evolves, but typically the core values should stay consistent. At Symform, one of the key pieces of our culture is entrepreneurship and specifically the love of building technology that disrupts markets and solves a problem in a new way.
In fact, our statement of “who we are” reads:
We are entrepreneurs and innovators with a passion for building great products that disrupt markets and change people’s lives.
Other important aspects of our core values and culture are authenticity, an obsession with the customer, revolutionary thinking, agility, and ownership. And though it doesn’t say it outright (maybe we should add this), we are also geeks. And proud of it.
Geeks come in many flavors, and what I’ve learned from being in this industry for a long time is you can never assume that all geeks got a degree in computer science, math, or physics, or that that they all love Dr. Who and Star Trek, or that they would rather be holed up in a dark cave coding than deal with people. (Okay, I can’t imagine any geek not loving Star Trek).
To put faces and names behind the geeks that make Symform tick, we are launching a “Meet the Geek” blog series. We hope this makes Symform more than just a company and technology for you. And we hope to have some fun with this. Having fun while working hard is another core part of our culture!
